Humanistic Existential Psychology

Humanistic Existential Psychology is considered to be the third major force in psychology, after the contributions of Psychoanalysis and Behaviorism (or Behavioralism).

In the philosophical field, he was influenced by great names such as Soren Kierkegaard, Martin Heidegger and Jean-Paul Sartre. In the field of Humanistic Psychology, the reference name is Carl Rogers!

The focus of this psychotherapeutic approach is the growth and development of the human being, and psychotherapy is an instrument for promoting social and psychological well-being.

The customer is placed at the center of its existence.

The use of the term "patient" is not common, as it refers to a "passive" and impersonal role in the existential context experienced in therapy.

"If I can provide a certain kind of relationship, the other will discover within himself the ability to use that relationship to grow, and change and personal development will occur" (Rogers, Introduction, 1997).

During the therapeutic process, the individual's care for himself and what interests him is highlighted through the awareness of his emotions; the assessment of attitudes and behaviors that may be harming their relationships, with a focus on developing their awareness of their own possibilities of choice.

The development of balance between thoughts, emotions and attitudes with you and with the elements that make up your world will be favored by contact with the Existential Humanist psychotherapist who has a non-judgmental or critical role in the face of existential manifestations or the person's posture. /client;

As a result, there is greater oxygenation of these tissues, allowing the release of toxins from the blood and muscle more easily.

What each arcane performs is a transfer of psychic information hitherto "invisible" to consciousness, for observation and objective indication. The possibility is provided with the quality of each slide, in relation to the reader, in its sensitivity and intuition, decoded during the session of magnification and reflective understanding.
